U-M faculty and staff may use this form (PDF) to make gifts through payroll deduction.
Matching Gifts
You can increase your gift to UMS by making use of your company's matching gift program. Request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it, completed and signed, with your gift. UMS will do the rest. The impact of your gift may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
Note: Matching gifts from employers are not eligible to be included in pledge payments. Gift pledges to UMS may be fulfilled only through payments from the donors of the gifts.
Securities
When giving to UMS through transfer of securities, you avoid capital gains tax on the appreciated value of the securities, and get an income tax deduction based on the value of the securities at the time you make the gift. Call the UMS Developement Office at 734-764-8489 for details.
