The University Musical Society Advisory Committee invites you to begin a journey through the Asian-themed 07/08 UMS season with On the Road to Asia, a fun filled evening of silent and live auctions, food, music, and merriment. Proceeds from the evening benefit UMS’s Education programs, which make arts education available to thousands of K-12 students, allowing them to experience firsthand the magic of live performance.

The Beneficiary
Dedicated to making world-class performance opportunities and arts educational programs available to K-12 students and educators, UMS’s Education Program offers nearly 150 programs every season. Funds raised from On the Road directly impact over 25,000 schoolchildren and educators in southeastern Michigan. It provides many students their first opportunity to experience the live performing arts. With public school arts education programs declining at an extraordinary rate, UMS continues to take a leadership role in advocating for transformative educational arts experiences throughout our community.
